Pravir graduated in architecture at the Rachana Sansad Academy of Architecture in Mumbai in 2002, and then worked with Samira Rathod Design Associates for a year. In 2004 he earned his Masters in Architectural Design at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, London, where his interest in installation design and responsive mechanisms in architecture was nurtured. In the years to follow in London, Pravir went on to work with some of the top names in British architecture, including Marks Barfield Architects (The London Eye, Kew Garden Walkway) and David Chipperfield Architects (winner of the Stirling Prize, 2007), before returning to India in 2009. After a stint as Project Head with Ratan J Batliboi Architects and then nearly four years heading up large projects for blue-chip developers (Rustomjee, Evershine, RNA,as Associate with Sanjay Puri Architects in Mumbai, he founded Studio HINGE in early 2014. Pravir enjoys exploring the narrative of a project, and its influence on the detail that follows.
