on the basis of the ideas presented to schbang, hinge was invited to propose a scheme to re-organise the offices of finolex, at their HQ in chinchwad. finolex being the largest manufacturer of upvc pipes in the country and a company with a long and rich corporate history, we augmented the brief to include a visitor experience zone, where the company could showcase its product and journey. we also, of course, had to make use of pipes. in a disused shed with over 5m height under the apex of its pitched roof, pipes of varying diameters and colours came together to become free-form partitions, chandeliers and arched openings.
